Welcome to the Home of the Panthers

We are a K-4 school located on Woodlake Drive in beautiful Homerville, Georgia, and our students come from families across the rural Clinch County community. We’re passionate about providing a stimulating educational environment where our students can thrive, and we are proud to be a Title I Distinguished School for several years running!

Walt Disney once remarked that “many hands and hearts and minds generally contribute to anyone’s notable achievements.” We couldn’t agree more! Our first-rate faculty and staff, involved parents, and supportive community are the hands and hearts and minds that make our school shine and help our students grow.

A Message From Our Principal
Welcome to Clinch County Elementary School—where Panther Pride begins!
As the principal, it is my mission to create positive conditions that support success for everyone-students, teachers, staff, and parents. My goal is to ensure that we provide every student the highest quality education in a safe and supportive learning environment. I believe we can accomplish that by collaborating with our teachers and staff, along with our parents to help our students be successful. We encourage the students here at CCES to make a choice every day to “Be Ready, Be Respectful and Be Responsible” when it comes to their daily school attendance, their focus in the classroom, displaying appropriate school behaviors, getting involved in activities, and choosing friends wisely. If students make the right choices and have a positive mindset, they will have a great and successful school year! However, we know it is not always easy to keep students motivated, which is why we count on our parents’ help. Here are a few simple things our parents can do to ensure the success of our students at Clinch County Elementary School:
  • Make sure your child attends school every day and on time.
  • Know what is expected and required of your child to pass his/her grade.
  • Check your child’s Wonderful Wednesday papers to keep up with what your child is learning in school.
  • Track your child’s success and grades in PowerSchool often.
  • Participate in parent activities and meetings sponsored by the school such as parent workshops and trainings, curriculum night, parent-teacher conferences, and school council meetings to name a few.

Your involvement in your child’s education is the first step on the right pathway to your child’s success and academic growth! So, let’s make this a great school year together!

Thank you,

Matt Kimbrell
